In an age where very few people in politics or the media are inspiring us, let’s meet a few environmental heroes to know that there is hope! You could write posts about them, or perhaps interview them.
Or think about what they do, and emulate something like what they do yourself, albeit on a smaller scale.
These stories are from SuperKind, which profiles young changemakers!
Bella (helping to reforest the world!)
Bella Lack is a young English woman, who has been making positive change since she was just 11 years old. Mostly concerned with deforestation and the plight of orangutans due to the palm oil industry, her organisation Reserva is hoping to protect over 1000 acres of Colombia rainforest to protect local endangered species.
Care deeply – but be selective about what you care about. You can’t solve everything. But you can have a big impact on what you choose to care about. Bella Lack
Mari (brought clean drinking water to Michigan)
Mari Copeny discovered that local drinking water in Michigan was making people sick. So she teamed up with a company to create a filter that removed lead and bacteria, to make the water safe.

Ryan Hreljac is a Canadian boy who has helped to build wells to bring fresh water to people in Africa.
Today his campaigns have completed 1,531 water projects, bringing clean water for drinking and sanitiation to over 1 million people!
