Actor Paul Eddington (who starred in both The Good Life and Yes, Minister) was a Quaker. When he died tragically early from skin cancer, he was asked how he would like to be remembered.
He simply said ‘He did very little harm’. He went on to say ‘It seems to me that many people do a great deal of harm. So to do little harm is a nice way to be remembered’. Or words to that effect.
And the same is true with you! There are so many businesses (big and small) that don’t seem to care if they are destroying the planet, harming other creatures, sending people into debt by encouraging consumerist binges.
So the fact that you run a little professional outfit to make a living doing something good, says something very wonderful and special about you!
